English Grammar: THROUGH का सही प्रयोग (What, Where, Who & How)
अंग्रेज़ी भाषा में THROUGH एक अत्यंत महत्वपूर्ण और व्यापक रूप से इस्तेमाल होने वाला Preposition (संबंधबोधक) है। हिन्दी में इसका मुख्य अर्थ “के बीच में से होकर”, “के ज़रिए” या “के माध्यम से” होता है।
1. What is THROUGH? (THROUGH क्या है?)
THROUGH एक Preposition (और कभी-कभी Adverb) है, जिसका उपयोग किसी 3D/घिरे हुए स्थान के अंदर से होकर गुज़रने, किसी माध्यम/ज़रिया (Means/Medium) को दर्शाने, या किसी अवधि (Beginning to End of a Period) को व्यक्त करने के लिए किया जाता है।
2. Where do we use it? (हम इसका प्रयोग कहाँ करते हैं?)
हम THROUGH का प्रयोग मुख्य रूप से 4 परिस्थितियों में करते हैं:
A. किसी घिरे हुए या 3D स्थान के बीच में से होकर जाने के लिए (Through a 3D Space / Enclosed Area)
जब कोई चीज़ या व्यक्ति किसी बंद, घिरे हुए या चारों तरफ से सीमाओं वाले स्थान के एक तरफ से प्रवेश करके दूसरी तरफ निकलता है।
उदाहरण:
The train passed through the tunnel. (ट्रेन सुरंग के बीच में से होकर गुज़री।)
He walked through the forest. (वह जंगल के बीच में से होकर गया।)
Water flows through this pipe. (पानी इस पाइप के ज़रिए/अंदर से बहता है।)
B. किसी माध्यम या ज़रिए को दर्शाने के लिए (By Means of / Via)
जब हम किसी व्यक्ति, साधन, या तकनीक के माध्यम से कोई काम करते हैं।
उदाहरण:
I got this news through a friend. (मुझे यह खबर एक दोस्त के ज़रिए मिली।)
We learned English through online classes. (हमने ऑनलाइन क्लासेस के माध्यम से अंग्रेज़ी सीखी।)
C. शुरुआत से अंत तक की समय अवधि दर्शाने के लिए (From Beginning to End)
जब कोई कार्य पूरी समय अवधि के दौरान निरंतर चलता है।
उदाहरण:
He worked through the night. (उसने पूरी रात (शुरुआत से अंत तक) काम किया।)
She stayed calm throughout/through the crisis. (वह संकट के पूरे समय शांत रही।)
D. किसी अनुभव या कठिनाई से गुज़रने के लिए (Going Through an Experience)
जब कोई व्यक्ति किसी कठिन स्थिति या प्रक्रिया का सामना करता है।
उदाहरण:
He is going through a tough time. (वह एक कठिन समय से गुज़र रहा है।)
3. Who do we use it with? (हम इसका प्रयोग किसके साथ करते हैं?)
हम THROUGH का प्रयोग व्यक्तियों (Persons), वस्तुओं (Objects), स्थानों (Places), तथा अमूर्त विचारों (Abstract Concepts) सभी के साथ कर सकते हैं:
Persons (व्यक्ति – के ज़रिए): through Him, through Amit Sir, through a friend.
Places (स्थान – के बीच में से): through the door, through the window, through the park.
Objects/Mediums (साधन/वस्तुएं): through the news, through an app, through the pipe.
Situations (स्थितियाँ): through hard work, through pain, through struggle.
4. How do we use it? (वाक्यों में प्रयोग के नियम और उदाहरण)

Subject + Verb + THROUGH + Enclosed Place/Object
The light came through the window. (रोशनी खिड़की के बीच में से आई।)

4. Negative Interrogative
Example 1:

Hindi: क्या ध्वनि निर्वात (वैक्यूम) के माध्यम से होकर नहीं गुज़रती है?

5. WH-Word Interrogative

6. WH-Word Negative Interrogative
Example 1:

Hindi: इन घने पत्तों के बीच में से होकर सूरज की रोशनी ज़मीन तक क्यों नहीं पहुँचती है?
Example 2:
English: How did they not get selected through the fair entrance exam?
Hindi: निष्पक्ष प्रवेश परीक्षा के माध्यम से उनका चयन कैसे नहीं हुआ?
