To become an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer, a candidate must first graduate in any discipline from a recognized university in India. The selection process is conducted annually by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) through the Civil Services Examination (CSE). Candidates must be at least 21 years old, and the upper age limit along with the total number of attempts varies according to the candidate’s category (General, OBC, SC, ST).
