Preposition

A preposition is a word used before a noun or pronoun to show the relationship between people, places, things, or time in a sentence. It helps us understand position, direction, time, and connection. Common prepositions are in, on, at, under, behind, between, and with.

Physical Position (Place) – स्थान

“Behind” का मतलब होता है किसी चीज़ के पीछे होना। जब कोई व्यक्ति या वस्तु किसी दूसरी वस्तु के पीछे होती है, तब हम “Behind” का use करते हैं। Example: The cat is behind the door (बिल्ली दरवाज़े के पीछे है)। इसी तरह, The car is behind the bus (कार बस के पीछे है)। रोज़मर्रा में हम कहते हैं, “I am standing behind you” (मैं तुम्हारे पीछे खड़ा हूँ)। Behind का use position बताने के लिए होता है जहाँ कोई चीज़ पीछे स्थित हो।

Preposition ‘behind’ का मतलब होता है पीछे से या किसी के पीछे स्थिति में होना या movement करना। जब कोई व्यक्ति या चीज़ किसी दूसरे व्यक्ति के पीछे चलती है तो हम ‘behind’ use करते हैं। He is walking behind me – वह मेरे पीछे चल रहा है। Dog is running behind the car – कुत्ता कार के पीछे दौड़ रहा है। बच्चे teacher के पीछे खड़े हैं – Children are standing behind the teacher। यह रोज़मर्रा की life में use होता है

Time / Delay (Late) – देर होना

“Behind” का मतलब होता है किसी समय या काम में पीछे रह जाना यानी देर होना। जब कोई काम समय पर नहीं होता तो हम कहते हैं “I am behind my schedule” यानी मैं अपने समय से पीछे हूँ / मैं देरी में हूँ। रोज़मर्रा में हम कहते हैं “The train is behind time” यानी ट्रेन लेट है / ट्रेन समय से पीछे चल रही है। “I am behind my homework” मतलब मेरा होमवर्क देर से हो रहा है / मैं समय से पीछे हूँ। “He is behind his class work” यानी वह अपने क्लासवर्क में पीछे है / लेट है।

Comparison / Lower Position – तुलना / पीछे होना

“Behind” का मतलब होता है किसी चीज़ या व्यक्ति का पीछे होना या किसी से कम स्थिति में होना। जब हम तुलना करते हैं, तो हम कहते हैं कि कोई व्यक्ति या वस्तु किसी दूसरे से पीछे है। यह रोज़मर्रा की जिंदगी में बहुत उपयोग होता है।

Support / Agreement – समर्थन

“Behind” का प्रयोग कई बार support या agreement (समर्थन/सहमति) के अर्थ में होता है। जब कोई व्यक्ति किसी idea या person के “behind” होता है, तो इसका मतलब है कि वह उसके support में है। उदाहरण: “I am behind your decision” यानी “मैं तुम्हारे निर्णय के पीछे हूँ” मतलब मैं तुम्हारे फैसले का समर्थन करता हूँ। “The whole family is behind him” यानी “पूरा परिवार उसके पीछे है” मतलब पूरा परिवार उसका समर्थन कर रहा है। Daily life में हम कहते हैं “We are behind you” यानी “हम तुम्हारे साथ हैं और तुम्हें support कर रहे हैं।

‘Behind’ का उपयोग तब होता है जब कोई व्यक्ति अपने काम, पढ़ाई या लक्ष्य में दूसरों से पीछे रह जाता है या उसका काम पूरा नहीं हुआ होता है। यह failure या incomplete work को दिखाता है। यह स्थिति बताती है कि व्यक्ति ने समय पर काम नहीं किया। Example: He is behind in homework. “Behind” का प्रयोग कारण (Cause of Emotion or Action) बताने के लिए भी होता है। इसका मतलब होता है किसी भावना या क्रिया के पीछे छुपा हुआ कारण। जैसे जब कोई व्यक्ति खुश या दुखी है, तो उसके पीछे कोई वजह होती है, और उसे “behind” से बताया जा सकता है। उदाहरण: There is a reason behind his anger (उसके गुस्से के पीछे एक कारण है). यह रोज़मर्रा की बातों में बहुत उपयोगी है।
