A linking verb is a verb that does not show action. Instead, it connects (links) the subject with more information about it, such as a description, identity, or condition. It works like a bridge between the subject and its complement.
Example:
- She is happy.
Here, “is” is not an action. It links She with happy.
Linking verb वह क्रिया होती है जो कोई काम (action) नहीं बताती, बल्कि subject को उसकी स्थिति, पहचान या गुण से जोड़ती है। यह subject और उसके बारे में दी गई जानकारी को जोड़ने का काम करती है।
